Casa de Luz Collaborative History Project

Please share your story and photos with us!

Casa de Luz is more than a Dining Room; it is a community that provides fellowship, healing, support, and connectivity to hundreds of people each week. For many of us, it's a restoration of the village that has disappeared from our culture.

Some of you have been coming to Casa de Luz for years, either since it was the East-West Center at a different location or from the early days on Toomey Road. Some of you remember when the garden was just planted--maybe you helped work in it and other projects, some of you remember the building before the fire, former employees, the silent dining room. Some of you helped on Casa de Luz project such as the cob wall out front. Some of you have become part of the Casa de Luz family in recently, and come here for yoga, garden steward workdays, meditation, tai chi, chi gong, dance, or Natural Epicurean cooking classes.

Whether you are a daily, monthly, or intermittent diner, your children have attended Parkside Community School, you are a Natural Epicurean student, please share your story with us. Whether you came to Casa de Luz for a food, class, a massage, a spiritual retreat or to recover from an illness, we hope you will share your story, recollections, and reflections with us!
