Village Spaces Terms and Conditions

1. General Overview
1.1 These terms and conditions apply to the rental of spaces at Casa de Luz ("the Venue"). By booking a rental space, you ("the Renter") agree to abide by these terms and conditions.
2. Booking and Payment
2.1 Reservation: Spaces are reserved on a first-come, first served basis.
2.2 Payment: Full payment must be made with the booking.
2.3 Cancellation Policy: Email villagespaces@casadeluz.org for cancellation requests. Requests for cancellations made less than 7 days before the event will forfeit the full payment.
3. Use of the Venue
3.1 Permitted Use: The Venue may be used for lawful purposes only. The Renter agrees not to use the space for any illegal activities or activities that may damage the property.
3.2 Capacity: The Renter must adhere to the specified capacity limits for each space. Exceeding the capacity may result in additional charges or the termination of the event.
3.3 Setup and Cleanup: The Renter is responsible for the setup and cleanup of the space. The space must be returned to its original condition. Please clean up after your event—failure to do so will result in an additional cleaning fee.
3.4 Time Management: Renters must finish and vacate the space by the designated end time. Additional charges will apply for any time used beyond the scheduled rental period.
4. Liability and Insurance
4.1 Liability: Casa de Luz is not responsible for any injuries, accidents, or losses that occur on the property during the rental period. The Renter is liable for any damages to the property caused by their guests or activities.
4.2 Insurance: Depending on the nature of the event and the expected number of attendees, the Renter may be required to provide proof of insurance coverage for the event.
5. Venue Policies
5.1 Sound must be contained within the rented space and must not disturb adjacent rooms or shared areas.
5.2 Alcohol and Catering: If serving alcohol, the Renter must comply with all local laws and regulations, including obtaining any necessary permits. Outside catering is allowed, but the Renter must email villagespaces@casadeluz.org and is responsible for the actions of the catering staff.
5.3 Decorations: Decorations are permitted but must not damage the Venue. The use of nails, staples, or any other damaging materials is prohibited.
6. Force Majeure
6.1 Casa de Luz is not liable for any failure to perform its obligations under this agreement due to events beyond its control, such as natural disasters, acts of war, or other unforeseen circumstances.
7. Termination
7.1 Casa de Luz reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement without notice.
8. Amendments
8.1 Casa de Luz reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time.
