I've been reading more and more about Coast FIRE lately and it's honestly making me rethink my whole early retirement strategy. Traditional FIRE always felt a bit extreme—cutting out so many things just to get to that magic number. But with Coast FIRE, it sounds like I can frontload my investments and then let them grow while working less or doing something more meaningful. Has anyone here actually tried it or made the switch?

Sprunki retains the core Incredibox gameplay: drag sound icons onto characters to create layered tracks with beats, melodies, vocals, and effects.
Totally feel you on that. I went full-on Traditional FIRE mode in my late 20s, aggressively saving 60–70% of my income, and while it got me closer to my number faster, I also burned out—hard. I didn’t take vacations, skipped out on family trips, and felt like I was constantly depriving myself. A couple years ago I stumbled on Coast FIRE and did the math using this tool: backofnapkin.co https://backofnapkin.co/personal-finance-calculators/coast-fire/. It helped me figure out that I could stop obsessing over savings and just maintain my lifestyle, because I’d already done most of the heavy lifting. I'm 35 now, still working, but doing freelance part-time and actually enjoying life. My investments are on track to hit full FIRE in 15 years even if I don’t save another dime. It’s not “one size fits all,” but Coast FIRE gave me balance when I really needed it.
