Handling Dog Bite Injuries: Legal Considerations
Hi everyone, I’m really struggling with something and hoping to get some honest advice or perspective. My father is in a nursing home, and over the last few weeks I’ve noticed some concerning things—bruises that no one can explain properly, personal items going missing, and his overall demeanor has changed. He used to be upbeat, but now he barely talks. I’ve raised it with staff but keep getting vague answers. I’m not sure if this is something I should be taking legal action over or if I’m overreacting. Has anyone else dealt with this kind of situation?

I’ve worked in elder care for over a decade and while most facilities are full of kind staff, there are definitely times when things fall through the cracks—or worse, get covered up. Trust your instincts. If something feels off, it usually is. Document everything. Even if you’re unsure right now, that record can be important later.
